Taylor Diversion Programs

Chase McCray, age 18, a Beaver County resident and a current student at Taylor Diversion Programs (TDP), has recently completed a number of welding certificates that has, indeed, prepared him for his future career in welding. Initially, Chase enrolled and completed the welding program offered by TDP at its Sheffield site. At the conclusion of this program, he earned the D1.1 all positions welding certification granted by the American Welding Society. Chase continued working toward this career by enrolling and successfully completing another course, the Advanced Blueprint Reading course, offered through Penn State University. With these credentials, Chase is qualified and certified to weld in any position on various thicknesses of metal using flux-core arc welding. Additionally, he is qualified to read all machinist’s blueprints and draft them as well. In the pursuit of starting his own business, Chase’s current plan is to fabricate a portable welding rig that he can take from place to place to complete needed welding jobs. TDP is so proud of Chase and the accomplishments he has made here. We wish him the best of luck in pursuing his welding career!
