Taylor Diversion Programs

Taylor Diversion Programs began offering monthly BINGO games to residents of Tionesta and surrounding communities in May of 2017. On the 3rd Friday of every month, TDP students and mentors have operated a set of “cash-pay” Bingo games that have attracted many community members, as well as patrons from Tidioute and Titusville.

In preparation for the Bingo event, TDP students bake cookies, pies, or prepare sandwich items to be sold to the participants; they also set-up the bingo tables and chairs, as well as assure that the “kitchen” is complete with drinks, chips, and food items. TDP boys are responsible for conducting bingo one month; the girls will do the same the next month. Each student is assigned a job from welcoming the participants as they arrive, to being the bingo caller, to selling bingo packets, to collecting the money, to selling the 50/50 tickets, to calling back the numbers, to working in the kitchen, etc. for the evening event. These same students are responsible for “after-bingo” clean-up as well.

In addition to the bingo event being enjoyed by all of the participants and students, TDP students are able to earn community service credits towards their restitution fees. The total bingo experience has been so enriching to both the community members and TDP students! Please plan to join us on the 3rd Friday of every month! Doors open at 5:00 PM and games begin at 7:00PM. Cash prizes range from $10.00 – $25.00.
